Ceiling Textures

Daub texture is most often applied on ceilings. It is applied with a daubing tool and then smoothed by hand using a drywall knife. This texture is Taylor Drywall's most commonly requested texture for ceilings.

Sand Skip texture has a silica sand mixed into the drywall mud before it is applied by hand using a drywall knife. Because of the difficulty of matching the consistency of the sand, this texture is more difficult to match if an area is damaged and in need of repair.

Rose Swirl is an older texture that has been requested as of late and is used throughout an entire home or as an accent area. This is just an example of textures that we can recreate of something you may have seen elsewhere.
